How To Write In PDF And Word

Download; Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word

Step 1 – Access The PDF Or Word Formatted Bicycle Sale Receipt

The links above as well as the “PDF” and “Excel” buttons on display all grant you access to the receipt template needed to confirm a bicycle purchase.

Step 2 – Identify The Bicycle Seller Or Store Issuing This Receipt

Open the template either with your Word editing software or your PDF editor. Select the first field at the top of the page (displaying the language “Company Name”) then document the full name of the Party selling the bicycle. Typically, this is a Bicycle Store or a Private Citizen, in either case, the legal identity of the Bicycle Seller must be presented here.  The “Name” line will introduce an area where the details needed to fully identify the Receipt Issuer will be requested for display. Populate this line with the full “Name” of the Bicycle Store Employee or Bike Owner receiving the payment and releasing the bicycle.   Customarily, the entire mailing address where a Selling Vendor can be reached will be paired with its identity. Three distinct lines labeled as “Street Address” and “City, State, Country,” then, lastly, “Zip Code” enable a clean display for the Bicycle Store or Seller’s mailing address. Once this basic information defining the Business or Party selling the bicycle has been presented, continue with some additional details by inputting the Bicycle Store’s (or Seller’s) “Phone” number and “E-Mail” address on the two blank lines concluding this area.

Step 3 – Dispense The Bicycle Seller Or Store’s Reference For This Paperwork

A solid reference must be established for this transaction. This enables the Bicycle Store to keep track of its products, finances, and retain payment while serving the Bicycle Purchaser with the ability to prove the vehicle belongs to him or her in the future. Thus, tend to the blank line labeled “Receipt #” with the formal transaction or filing number needed to refer to this paperwork in the future.   The sale “Date” otherwise defined as the month, calendar day, and two or four-digit calendar year when the bicycle was released to the Purchaser in exchange for the required payment must be recorded on the blank line on the right with the “Date” label.

Step 4 – Attach The Bicycle Buyer’s Identity

The “Buyer Information” section placed below the receipt’s filing details is the next task requiring your attention. The “Name” line at the beginning of this area (on the left) seeks the first, middle, and last “Name” of the Bicycle Customer. The “Street Address” and the “City, State, Country” labels refer to the mailing address of the Bicycle Customer. Dispense this information then tend the Bicycle Purchaser’s postal code for this address on the “Zip Code” line.   Conclude the “Buyer Information” section with the “Phone” number the Bicycle Purchaser maintains for contact.

Step 5 – Deliver Details That Define The Purchased Bicycle

The bicycle that was purchased must be defined for this receipt to be effective. Locate the “Bicycle Information” section on the right then furnish the “Year” it was made on the first blank line.  The second line of this area seeks a description of the Bicycle’s “Condition” at the time of payment. A typical description would be “Used,” “New,” “Poor,” “Good,” etc.   Finally record the “Make,” “Model,” and “Color” of the purchased bicycle on the last three lines.

Step 6 – Describe The Bicycle Purchase

The bicycle sale being documented must be spelled out in some way. One quick and easy way will be to present its information in a receipt table. Locate the “Description” column of this object then describe the sale as preferred. You may include details such as the bike’s serial or manufacturer ID number and the date.

Step 7 – Document The Cost Of The Bicycle Purchase

The second column of the table makes a few more requests since its purpose is to explain the price paid for the bicycle. The “Amount” field to the right of the sale’s “Description” seeks the asking price for the bicycle. This base “Amount” should not have any discounts or taxes applied and must be recorded in the first field under “Amount.”
Step 8 – Produce The Breakdown And Summary Of The Submitted Payment.  The second field in “Amount” is labeled as “Subtotal” and merely asks for a summary of the “Amount” field above it. If more than one purchase was made add them together then report it here. IF not then you only need to reproduce the original “Amount” you entered as a convenience to the Bicycle Purchaser.    If the bicycle purchase was subject to a “Discount” then document its dollar value in the next field down.  Most local governments will have a Tax Entity that requires a sales tax or a value-added tax applied. This depends on the product and the purpose of sale but, whatever taxes the Bicycle Store or Seller is required to collect on the “Subtotal” should be calculated (after the “Discount”) then produced for display in the “TAX/VAT” field.   The last item on this table shall seek the final the “Total” paid for the bicycle. This should be easily seen as the discounted “Subtotal” added to the appropriate taxes. Make sure this figure represents this calculation then proceed to the remainder of this receipt.

Step 9 – Interpret The Receipt Table For The Customer

An important use of this receipt is to prove, without any doubt, that payment was successfully received by Bicycle Store or Seller from the Buyer. The sentence below the table will summarize this fact in writing but will need some information reproduced to its contents. Locate the phrase “The Total Amount Of” then supply the “Total” paid on the first blank line that follows it, the name of the Bicycle Customer on the second blank line this statement leads to, then the “Date” of payment on the blank line that concludes this declaration.

Step 10 – Furnish A Production On The Bicycle Purchaser’s Payment Method

The way in which payment was received is a required definition for this receipt and will be addressed in the final area requiring description. Notice the heading “Payment Method” and the four checkbox options presented to select from. Every checkbox you mark here will be assumed to be a payment method used to submit the bicycle payment defined above. For instance, a credit card payment should be reported by marking the checkbox corresponding to the label “Credit Card No.” and providing the appropriate credit card number on the blank line provided.  Payment by check would necessitate the marking of the “Check No.” box. Once marked, the check number must be supplied to this option where requested.   If the bicycle sale was a “Cash” sale, then select the checkbox attached to the “Cash” label.  The bicycle sale may have been effected by some “Other” means of payment. If so, then check the box labeled “Other.” This requires a direct report on how the Bicycle Customer remitted payment supplied on the line following the “Other” label.

Step 11 – The Bicycle Purchaser’s Signature Is Required

The final required receipt item can only be delivered by the Bicycle Customer. He or she must sign the “Signature Of Buyer” line to approve this exchange.

Step 1 – Obtain The Bicycle Sale Receipt As A Spreadsheet Template

The spreadsheet version of the Bicycle Sale receipt is downloadable using the “Excel” button captioning its preview sample or by selecting the link above.

Step 2 – Identify The Bicycle Selling Business Generating This Receipt

The Bicycle Seller or Vendor accepting and documenting the concerned purchase should be identified with the Company logo and name inserted to replace the contents of cell A1 and A2 (respectively).   The “Name” of the Bicycle Vendor or Seller’s Representative collecting payment and issuing this receipt should be produced in cell A3. The header area of column A will also seek the information needed to contact the Bicycle Vendor or Seller. Cells A4 (“Street Address”) requires the first line of the Bicycle Seller or Vendor’s mailing address and A5 requests this address entry continues with the “City, State, Country”  Complete the Bicycle Vendor’s mailing address by reporting his or her “Zip Code” in cell A6. The “E-Mail” address where the Bicycle Vendor can be contacted as well as the telephone number is also necessary for column A’s header. Produce these items in cell A7 and A8 as requested.

Step 3 – Attach The Bicycle Seller’s Filing Information

Notice the field headings “Receipt #” and “Date” located in the upper right of the spreadsheet. The “Receipt #” field, cell F3, requests its content be populated with the filing number attached to this transaction by the Bicycle Vendor POS (point of sale) or accounting system while the adjacent field, cell H3, seeks your entry of the “Date” when this receipt number was generated.

Step 4 – Deliver The Bicycle Customer’s Identity And Contact Information To Column A

Locate cell A11 then record the Bicycle Buyer’s full “Name” as requested.   The next three fields (cells A12 through A14) are set here to display the Bicycle Buyer’s address. Report this information as his or her “Street Address” (in cell A12), corresponding “City, State, Country” (as labeled by cell A13), and the matching “Zip Code” (cell A14) once you enter these items as requested.   The Bicycle Buyer’s “Phone” number should be produced in cell A15.

Step 5 – Describe The Purchased Bicycle In Column F

The record of this bicycle sale will need to include a description of the concerned bicycle. To this end, direct your attention to cell F11 then report the “Year” when the bicycle was manufactured.  Next, document the “Condition” of the bicycle at the time of payment in cell F12. This can be defined with a word such as “New,” “Refurbished,” “Damaged,” “Display Model,” etc.  Use the next two cells of this column to submit the purchased bicycles “Make” (cell F13) and “Model” (cell F14).

Now, define the “Color” or colors of the concerned vehicle in cell F15.

Step 6 – Discuss The Concerned Transaction When The Bicycle Was Purchased

The receipt that is being used to document this exchange must be furnished with a basic discussion regarding the bicycle sale or transaction being completed. In cell A18 of the presented receipt table, submit a basic “Description” of the bicycle sale. This is a free form area so you may provide additional definitions regarding the bicycle, sales agreement, or any payment plan involved.

Step 7 – Provide A Viewable Summary Of The Bicycle Sale

The H column of the table being completed intends to discuss the figures involved with the received bicycle payment. Cell H18, the first field requiring attention, must be supplied with the original price of the bicycle. That is, do not include any discounts or taxes. You may itemize the required payments (if more than one product is reported in the previous cell).   Cell H19 expects a summary of the amounts that were listed in the preceding field. Here a production of the bicycle “Amount” costs should be entered as a sum. Add these figures together then furnish it accordingly.   If the Bicycle Vendor bestowed a “Discount” to benefit the Customer, then fill in the dollar amount that will be subtracted from the “Subtotal” in cell H20.   The “TAX/VAT” field in cell A21 expects documentation of the dollar amount expected in taxes. This can only be reached by observing the local laws ruling this sale. Once, this figure is reached or calculated then produce it for review in ell H21.   The “Amount” column will seek its completion in cell A22 with the “Total” you produce to its contents. The sum of the “Subtotal” and “Tax” you entered should be documented in cell H22. Keep in mind that a discounted “Subtotal” may need to be added depending on the conditions of the sale.

Step 8 – Solidify The Bicycle Sale By Declaration

Notice the receipt table runs into a sentence in cell A23. Here a few pieces of information will need to be documented as confirmation of the above receipt. First, locate the second dollar sign in this after the words “The Total Amount…” Replace this bracketed symbol with the full dollar amount received from the Bicycle Customer. Proceed through this sentence then remove the second set of brackets (which present the word “Name”). After deleting them, enter the full “Name” of the Bicycle Customer as its replacement. The final set of brackets, displaying the word “Date” as their content must also be removed or deleted, so that you may complete the sentence with the month, two-digit calendar day, and year when the bicycle payment was submitted.

Step 9 – Identify The Means Of Payment Utilized By The Bicycle Customer

The next section requiring attention can also be found in column A. The title “Payment Heading” introduces four checkboxes that can be used to explain how the bicycle payment was submitted. Any and all of these checkboxes may be selected so long as the selection can define the received payment. For example, when a Customer submits his or her payment for the bicycle using a credit card, then the checkbox displayed in cell A26 should be selected either by clicking it or manually filling it in. Additionally, the credit card number the Bicycle Customer’s credit card number should be entered in the space after “Credit Card No.”

If the Bicycle Customer paid directly with “Cash,” then the checkbox in cell F26 should be clicked or filled in after printing. In some cases, the Customer may opt to pay by check. In such transactions, the checkbox displayed in cell A27 should be marked and the four-digit number on the check reproduced after the label “Check No.”If the Bicycle Customer used a different means, then click or manually check the box presented in cell F27. Additionally, documentation as to how the Bicycle Client paid for the bicycle will be required after the word “Other.”

Step 10 – Obtain The Bicycle Customer’s Approval By Signature

The Bicycle Customer will need to sign the blank line that populates cell A28. This “Signature Of Buyer” line will allow the Customer to show his or her intention in completing the payment and serve as a record of ownership.
